Makkah hotel areas
Hotels around the Clock Tower and Jabal Omar developments sit closest to the Haram's main gates; Ajyad and Misfalah are short walks further. Hotels further out may run shuttle buses. Exact walking time depends on the hotel entrance, gate in use and crowd controls on the day.
Madinah hotel areas
Most pilgrim hotels sit in the central area around Masjid an-Nabawi. The north and west sides are popular; ask your adviser which gate is nearest to your hotel.
Travelling between the cities
The journey is roughly 450 km. The Haramain high-speed train connects Makkah and Madinah in around two to two-and-a-half hours; road transfers take longer. Which option is included is confirmed in your quotation.
Money and connectivity
Card payments are widely accepted, but carry some Saudi riyals for small purchases. Local SIM and eSIM plans are available on arrival; check your UK network's roaming charges before you go.
Etiquette
Dress modestly, follow staff instructions on crowd routes, keep walkways clear and be patient at busy times. Photography of other worshippers should be avoided.
